Colors

Color changes every sunrise
My cheeks bloom like flowers
Sea catches rays of sunshine
The memories of yesterday linger within
Childhood laughter heard in the wind
My knees tremble with uncertainty
Eyes sway into the distance
The truth has yet to be found
Happiness is written in constellations
Mine has been lost within galaxies
Congealing the thoughts of today
Holding on to a dead end
Color changes my reflection
My hopes are impossible to grab
Listen to the humming of nerves
Let love escape through my pores
Sipping strength from starry eyes
My ears sing new melodies
Sand is trapped between my toes
I walk forward while looking back
Pale chills rush to my face
My horizon is an open book
Tomorrow I will be home
Color changes, truth changes goodbyes
Color changes when today cannot be
My destiny is trapped far away
Glass cuts through open wounds
When the sunset is last my eyes will blink

Destiny

I fill my wings with destiny
I wash away my tears
lock them in a dungeon
hidden in the depths of my heart
I see his face
imperfection in its most beautiful form
I watch him sleep and get an urge to write
about the silence of his snore
about the traces of his strong lines
about the shape of his chest
welcoming my needy rest
about sounds that sneak through the window
and keep me awake
just to study these gorgeous moments
A life so rare,
a stare so mine
A mirror in this mistery of time
I need him to be my blue sky
so I can shine my brightest yellow
every day
till I die
I will speak for him
when he lacks the words
He will smile for me
when I lack the hope
We will live in harmony
in the oldest ways love knows how
We will argue about little things
so we don't take each other for granted
I will cherish this man
I will honor this man
with all the hot blaze
and all the cool grace
of my soul
He's my timeless mistery to solve
He's my eternal life to live
My destiny awaits and I can't wait
to surrender
to this moonlight
that melts away my dark night
